Mosus
Mosus had a great childhood, growing up in dunedin with an eclectic
musical background, his mother a punk guitarist and father an avid
vinyl collector introduced him to the futurist sounds of brian eno,
david bowie, jimi hendrix, devo, sexpistols, bob marley and
everything in between. Mosus was gripped by the vinyl bug and at the
tender age of 12 his father gave him his first belt driven turntable
complete with built in speaker and cabinet. From then Mosus hustled
his hard earned cash on hiphop records and at 15 got his first set of
technics 1200 turntables and a mixer. He gained a reputation as a
skooled up hiphop dj until he came across some jungle records in a
second hand record bin - from this point on Mosus carved out a name
for himself on student radio stations in the South Island of New
Zealand where he was brought up.
These early experiences on the radio earnt him bookings at events
across NZ - it was these small parties which quickly got him noticed
and it wasn't long before a young Mosus was in demand from top
promoters across the country. As the years went by Mosus continued to
push the sounds of dnb with regular radio shows, dnb club nights and
tours across NZ and Australia. Touring with the likes of Shy fx,
Bailey, Dillinja & Lemon d,Krust, Die and Bryan G as well as djing
alongside every international name to come to NZ it wasn't long b4
Mosus felt it was time to leave NZ.
In 2003, with an invaluable chunk of experience under his belt,
Mosus made the move to London where he teamed up with Bryan G from
vrecordings - one of the most respected drum & bass djs and labels.
Mosus' responsibility within this label has increased rapidly, taking
on a full time position and solidifying his position in the dnb
industry.

well as producing Bryan G's weekly "Sound of Movement radio show" on
Ministry of Sound internet radio, which has made him available for
the odd guest show on the station.

with future releases forthcoming on Trace's dsc14. With a host of A

levels with a highly sought after residency at the legendary Thursday
night Bar Rumba session at the premier club Movement,as a part of the
new Producers night. Djing alongside other well known new artists
such as Utah Jazz, Raf Illogic, Breakage etc.
